Early on Eli tried for goal but unfortunately the keeper gathered it. Soon after Dan had a shot only for the keeper to gather again, straight away George had a shot but just wide. Then Owen picks the ball up and his shot finds the left corner of the net goal!! 1-0.

 

 

Another attack and shot from Dan and we are attacking well. We force another effort on target after a great cross from Jacob, Dan then clatters into the keeper and soon after another Frys corner Owen’s shot skims across goal. Owen then nutmegs a player and gets his pass away to Eli whose shot curls away from goal.

 

A free kick by Ryan after George was fouled was cleared by Deerswood who go back on the attack. They beat the last defender, Lewis, and get a shot away which Brandon saved only for Deerswood to score from the rebound 1-1.

 

Deerswood are now on the attack and force a corner which is cleared by Ryan after a bit of a battle from all. Frys looking a bit unsettled but soon get it back with a great goal from George. A shaky moment with Deerswood winning a corner but Eli comes storming away with the ball. Half time 2-1 Frys.

 

2^nd half

 

Both sides start sprightly with all players doing a lot of running. In midfield, a great pass from George puts Owen through but his shot is blocked. From the resulting throw in Dan’s header rolled along the cross bar only to drop out of play. George then scores his second of the game and Frys third to put us 3-1 up.

 

Lucky escape as Deerswood got close to goal only to for it to go just wide. From a Brandon goal kick Dan heads it down to Owen who passes it on to George who has a crack at goal only for the upright to deny his hat trick. A corner by Owen and Jacob fires in a shot which just skimmed past the post. Good pressure from George forces a corner. Owen delivers and there is lots of movement in the box but Deerswood clear only for us to win it back and for George to complete his hat trick with a lucky bounce on the ball to beat the keeper 4-1.

 

Another free kick to Deerswood sees them score from the resulting clearance to make it 4-2. Eli then goes on one of his runs and shows what we worked on in training by beating his man and delivering a pin point cross for Jacob to score to make it 5-2 to us at full-time.

 Good start from Frys forcing an early corner; Harry then has a free kick cleared off the line. Good football from Frys sees Dan Bowden striking a fierce shot but straight at the keeper. Josh Seeley clearing up everything Deerswood throw at us.

 

Callum then fails to score from three yards after a great through ball from Josh James. Deerswood break with a 3 on 2 and score to make it 1-0 Deerswood. Harry equalize minutes later with a great strike from outside the box 1-1 half time.

 

2^nd half

 

A very cagey start to the second half the ball going from end to end. A good cross from the left and a first time strike from Callum see Frys take a deserved lead 2-1 Frys.

 

Deerswood still looking threatening on the break, two saving tackles from Harry Clarke.

 

 

Neither team taking control of the game. We then break away and Callum scores another with a well placed shot 3-1 Frys. Deerswood keeper saves from Callum to prevent his hat trick, and another double save from Callum. Full time 3-1 Frys.

         

MAN OF MATCH: Sam Miller he was outstanding in the midfield today with some great tackling and passing.
